Writers

When will the words on loose-leaf paper be read
And when will their meanings be revealed
When we, as writers, write these words
We put our soul on a piece of paper
We put our beliefs in your hand to criticize however you want
We learn to love words in a way no one else does
And we use them to excite your emotion in a way nothing else can
We may make you cry
laugh, hope, or love
We may even make you wonder
We live our lives to make you feel something
We want to inspire you
We want you to open your eyes to the beauty around you
We write what is on our mind because we know we aren't the only ones thinking it
I look around me and see people who judge me because I love something
People ask me why do you write and I can only think to reply
“For you, because without you, what I write my never mean anything”
So, Writers keep on writing keeping putting your life on a sheet of paper
and keep your souls alive
But more than anything keep on inspiring others

Making a Promise to Live Life Above The Average

Since school has been out I have had a lot of time to think about, well, everything. I've thought about how my entire life has changed in the past couple of years. There have been of times when I have felt like I lost myself, times when I knew exactly what I wanted out of life and I knew how I was going to get it.
High School has been an emotional roller coaster for me, as I'm sure it has been for most teens. The only time I ever really felt lost was when I refused to stop and take a look at the beauty that surrounded me.
I refused to look around at all the people standing right beside me asking what it was I needed help with.
I refused to take a time out just to watch the sunset.
I refused to accept the person I knew I should be, and I tried to change that person so that others would accept me.
I let people walk all over me.
Well, this year is going to be different. This year, I am going to refuse to be a door mat. I am going to be myself at all times, friends or no friends. I am going to watch the sunset, and I am going to let the stars inspire me. This year, I'm going to live, but more than that I am going to live life above the average.

Tattoos and Adrenaline Rushes

When i got my tattoo touched up yesterday i was thinking about how much of an adrenaline rush it was (because it was making me sick lol) and i was thinking about how addictive tattoos and adrenaline rushes are. I'm not so into the adrenaline rush thing (because it makes me sick) but a lot of people are. Me and my mom and step dad were talking about that yesterday, my mom has seven tattoos and my step dad has several too I don't know for sure how many he has and they are both planning on getting more. It's strange to think about how paying people to stab you with needles repeatedly for as long as it takes for the picture to be done is so addictive but it really is I can vouch.

The picture is obviously my tattoo it is a form of karate i took for 10 years and i plan on getting back involved with it when i have the money.
It stands for Chito Ryu Yoshukai

Meaning Behind What You say

how many times do you actually consider the meaning behind the words or statements you say? how many times do you tell a friend or family member to be careful before you realize hoe dangerous it really is out there? How many people have told you to be careful and you drive away without giving it a second thought?
Let's go a little farther with this train of thought. how many times do you tell your significant other that you love them before you realize how much you mean it, or how much you don't?
sometimes i feel like, as families, we are only going through the motions. being in a relationship doesn't mean what it used to, the words i love you are thrown around without the slightest hint of emotion. families are torn apart by this lack of emotion.
i am challenging you, my readers, to help make this tormented earth we live on a better place. i challenge you to think about the meaning of what you say, and make sure you mean it, before you say it. i think you will be surprised at how much more meaningful your life will become.

James Hareld Rackard (9/1/1947-5/19/2011)

How Many

Every day, i hear the people around me laughing
i hear the next joke circling around
the different groups of my peers joking around with each other
i see the smiles on their faces
but how deep do they travel?
is it just a smile on the surface to hide whats underneath
or are you really smiling?
how many people are just smiling to keep others from asking "whats wrong?"
how many people are just trying to find a way to get help,
but they're too afraid to ask?
and how many people are too concerned with their own problems
to ask if anyone else needs help?
how many people have ever really realized that
there is always someone more miserable than they are,
and that that person may be standing right next to them?
everyone should stop to think about how small their problems really are,
compared to the problems others face.
there are people without homes,
just looking for a decent place to sleep.
there are those who have noone left
to help them through the crisis that they face everyday.
they are so many other disasters,
but how many of us really notice?
how many of us really ever think about the disasters happening right next to us?
what has to happen before we finally open our eyes
to the dying world around us?
how many people have to die before we come together,
as a nation, or a family.

Overcoming the Everyday Obstacle

Everyday that you live you will encounter different obstacles some more difficult than others, some not difficult at all. Some obstacles are going to make you think there is no way to get over them, the key there is to go around them. If you can;t overcome the hurdle in your life, there is usually a way to get around it. There is almost always an alternate route to reach your destination. You can't look at an obstacle as an impassible wall, but rather an intersection, you ust have to figure out which path is the right one for you to take. when you make that choice you aren't garunteed that you wont see another intersection, its an endless cycle In life there aren't straight roads, only curvy, hard to follow ones, so don't let the everyday obstacle get you down, use it as a guideline to shape your future.
